Summary: I'm o.k. with the Lust. And i can't exactly cast the first stone as far as avarice goes, but, I've still got some puritanism in me, i'm afraid and it bothers me when someone runs a bank into the ground at taxpayer expense and gets 2 million for, what exactly? So what. It's not even that extreme as far as taking advantage of your position goes. I'd do the same thing. In fact, if you want to pay me 2 million for the off chance I can influence the president to rule favorably on trade laws that affect you, I'll take it.

I reckon you would. Though, I bet you could be trusted to spend it on something other than hookers and blow. (not to insinuate that that's what THIS money was spent on). But 2 million seems a bit much to pay for a "chance" of influencing trade laws. Perhaps i'm being naive given how much is being wasted by governments everyday, but it seems to me that 2 Mil would buy a bit more. (o.k. I'm PROBABLY being naive, anyone else think 2 mil is a bit high for a chance at "Access"?)
